FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Brigadiers’ “Holiday Brass” to Perform at Local Community Events
Syracuse, NY (November 27, 2007) -
The Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corps' "Holiday Brass" ensembles will again
provide music and entertainment at various events throughout the local Syracuse community this holiday
season. "Holiday Brass" is an offshoot of the corps proper and performs at numerous locations including
tree lighting ceremonies and the spectacular "Christmas Around the World" at Sainte Marie Among the Iroquois.
Holiday Brass will kick off its performance schedule at three large-scale events this weekend. The ensemble will
make its 2007 premier at the "Christmas Around the World" on Saturday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m., with additional
performances planned throughout December. "Christmas Around the World" is a festive holiday display located at
Sainte Marie, an Onondaga County Park re-creating the 17th century culture of the Iroquois. The exhibit is presented
each year in conjunction with the extraordinarily popular "Lights on the Lake," Central New York's #1 holiday attraction. "Lights on the Lake" is a two mile drive- through holiday lights spectacle at Onondaga Lake Park and is open to the public every night during the holiday season.

Holiday Brass will also perform the following day at two local tree lightings in the towns of Minoa, NY (Sunday,
December 2 at 5:30 p.m.) and Central Square, NY (Sunday, December 2 at 4:45 p.m.). The corps is especially delighted
to announce that it will be joined by members of the East Syracuse-Minoa High School Band for the performance in Minoa.
"We are extremely pleased to be able to take part in these events throughout the community," said Holiday
Brass Coordinator and Brigadiers brass staff member Paul Cullen. "It's very satisfying to give something
back to the Central New York area we call home and to be asked to participate in these holiday festivities
is a great distinction for the corps."
In addition to providing holiday entertainment, The Brigadiers are beginning preparations for the 2008
competitive season. The corps' next camp will be held December 8-9, 2007. Further information regarding
the camp will be posted on the corps' website at www.brigadiers.com. For more information or to inquire
about engaging The Brigadiers or any of its ensembles at any time throughout the year, please contact Corps
Director Rick Martin at rickmartin@brigadiers.com or Public Relations Director

From the entire membership, staff and support staff of The Brigadiers, we wish you and yours
all a very joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year!
With roots dating to 1938, The Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corps was reorganized in 1991 after a nineteen-year absence
from competition. The Brigadiers are 5-time Drum Corps Associates World Champions, winning titles in 1997, 1999,
2000, 2001 and 2002, and are the only drum and bugle corps to ever win four consecutive DCA titles.
