FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Brigadiers Perform at Mighty St. Joe's Classic XIV
Greece, NY (April 30, 2007) -
In the corps' first indoor "spring preview" appearance since 2003, The Brigadiers provided a glimpse of what's
to come for the 2007 competitive season at the Mighty St. Joe's Classic XIV Saturday night. Performing select
portions of the 2007 field show, "Images in Time," the Brigs received a much appreciated warm reception from
the packed house at the Greece Apollo Middle School in Greece, New York.
The corps entertained the crowd with a brief introduction to its closer, "Evolution," followed by the now
well-known Brigs ballad, "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." The Brigs closed the evening's performance with the
opener of the field show, "As Time Goes By/Spanish Fantasy."
The Brigs thank Mighty St. Joe's and everyone at the Classic for the invitation to perform and the wonderful
hospitality enjoyed throughout the day by the corps.
The Brigs are still looking for a few dedicated, talented individuals interested in helping the corps achieve
its best season yet! The 2007 Brigs will offer a challenging, enjoyable program, equally appealing to performers
and audience alike.
With roots dating to 1938, The Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corps was reorganized in 1991 after a nineteen-year absence
from competition. The Brigadiers are 5-time Drum Corps Associates World Champions, winning titles in 1997, 1999,
2000, 2001 and 2002, and are the only drum and bugle corps to ever win four consecutive DCA titles.
