FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
"Pageant of Drums" This Saturday!
Syracuse, NY (August 13, 2007) -
The Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corps will host the annual "Pageant of Drums," this Saturday, August 18, 2007,
at Alliance Bank Stadium in Syracuse, New York. The show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
The Pageant is a staple in the history of Central New York drum corps and is sure to offer its usual fare of
stellar drum corps entertainment in 2007. The show will feature four of Central New York’s favorite corps:
the Empire Statesmen and the Crusaders, both hailing from Rochester, our neighbors to the South, the Dansville
White Sabers, and of course, your hosts, The Brigadiers. We are also thrilled to welcome the Sunrisers from
Rockland County, New York, and a newcomer to the Pageant, Fusion Core of Morris County, New Jersey, in its
first year of competition. The Brigs are also extremely pleased to announce that the show will open with a
performance of the National Anthem by our esteemed Alumni, the Syracuse Brigadiers Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps.
Reserved seating tickets are $17.00 and are on sale now. For ticket information, go to http://www.brigadiers.com/pageant/.
With roots dating to 1938, The Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corps was reorganized in 1991
after a nineteen-year absence from competition. The Brigadiers are 5-time Drum Corps Associates
World Champions, winning titles in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002, and are the only drum and
bugle corps to ever win four consecutive DCA titles.
